Feel familiar? Rushing off to the airport or madly wanting to get in the car and get away for that long anticiapted break or even just a short weekend away with the family?
Well it is common knowledge that the incidence of injury or an accident is that much higher once we step outside of the home into unfamiliar surroundings or exposed to greater risk either through driving or participating in some extreme sport.
We are all pretty gun ho when it comes to being on holiday with all the excitement of being away. Spare a little thought for your safety and try to plan a few things ahead – where are you going and what will be the situation good or bad?
Will you be exposed to bugs and bites or little nasties along the way and how near will the emergency services be from where you are staying. Even when staying in rented accommodation the facilities when it come to first aid can be quite basic.
